MMM Sent!

My Make Mine Modern was sent off to my partner last week, but I was not thinking and completely forgot to take pictures.  LUCKILY for me, my partner loved it and took lots!
I made her a tablerunner (from Ty Pennington's Impressions line) that would match her new curtains, a pouch, a pincushion and included a pattern because she has girls that she likes to make clothing for.  I also loaded her up on fabric because I am a fabric hoarder myself and who doesn't LOVE fabric?  I always feel so relieved when I know my partner has received her package and when she approves the contents therein.  This was a fun parcel to put together and I hope my partner enjoys it!

Twelve Month Quilting Bee- March- Finished Quilt!

In my Twelve Month Quilting Bee, I started our group off and sent off a bunch of Ty Pennington's Impressions line and was so pleased with what came back to me!  I had them all do wonky log cabins and they were so fun to make and receive back!

I had the quilt top finished a couple weeks ago, but wasn't sure what I wanted to do with the back.  I ended up settling with the cheapest option and went with some Kona Black... the same as is on the borders.
Here is a closeup of the quilt top and a few of the blocks.  I've really gotten a lot of compliments on just the quilt top.  I like it too.
My mom did the quilting on her long arm machine and I think the pantograph that we chose is perfect for this. She used a varigated chartreuse and yellow thread but it kind of looked the same color.  Regardless, I think the light thread on the black is really striking and beautiful!

Here is a closeup of the quilting.  You really can see it all so well.  It looks awesome!

So, big thanks to my swap buddies.  I hope I can provide them with as nice of blocks as they provided me.

My month for 12 month quilting bee!!!!

March was my month to send out fabric for the Twelve Month Quilting Bee.  I chose to work with Ty Pennington's Impressions line and it turned out to be a really nice selection.  I purchased the fabric from Fabric Worm (which is quickly becoming a favorite shop spot for me because I LOVE their fabric bundles.... takes the guess work out of picking matching fabrics).
Each of the 12 members were asked to make one or two wonky log cabins.
Here are the two wonky log cabins I came up with.  I am anxious to get this quilt completed!

I will post pictures soon of the completed quilt!
